The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '57 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a stunning Gold Sparkle NOS, period correct; this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1957 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The neck is crafted from Quartersawn Maple and features a '57 soft V profile, it's real comfortable and with a 9.5" radius and vintage frets it's smooth and at home playing slick runs and crisp chords right up the neck.
Loaded with a trio of handwound '50s Strat single coils, you get a broad variation of tones. From clean sparkle to a raunchy growl, this guitar really is a players dream. These pickups were handwound by Fender pickup master Josefina Campos, Josefina was apprentice to Fender legend Abigail Ybarra and knows all the secrets to unlock the tonal potential of any guitar.
