Discover the understated elegance of this Collings 001MH Left-Handed, handcrafted in 2015 at Collings’ Austin, Texas workshop. The 001 model, one of Collings’ smaller body sizes, features a parlor-style design with a solid mahogany top, back, and sides, delivering a warm, focused tone with a surprising depth for its compact size—perfect for fingerstyle, blues, or intimate performances. Finished in a smooth satin nitrocellulose lacquer, its natural mahogany grain shines through, complemented by a tortoise pickguard and simple yet elegant appointments, including a custom solid peghead substitution for a streamlined, classic look. In excellent condition, this guitar shows just one tiny mark on the top and a few light pick marks on the pickguard, reflecting minimal use and careful ownership that preserves its pristine look and sound.
This 001MH features a mahogany neck with a modified V profile, offering a comfortable grip for left-handed players, paired with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard sporting a 14" to 26" compound radius, 20 frets, and a 24 7/8" scale length for a responsive, easy-playing feel. The traditional diamond and square inlays add a touch of vintage charm, while the ebony bridge, bone nut, and saddle ensure excellent tone transfer and sustain. Custom options elevate its playability: a 1 ¾” nut width provides extra room for fingerstyle precision, and the 2 3/16” saddle spacing offers a slightly wider string spread for improved control and comfort. Professionally set up by our expert luthiers at Peach Guitars, it’s ready to play straight out of its original hardshell case, which comes with the Certificate of Authenticity for added provenance.
