The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic guitars ever put into production, with such a rich history and timeless appeal, the bar has been set pretty high. The Limited Edition Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s delivers all iconic tones and performance associated with Gibson’s standard USA Les Paul range, but with a few unique visual changes.
With a Mahogany body, this Les Paul benefits from a Maple top for the ultimate tonewood partnership. Rich and super resonant it offers premium tone and timeless aesthetics! One of the most exciting features of the Double Trouble Les Paul is the unique finish. This guitar features a “vintage” variation of Gibson’s iconic Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose finish, which is slightly more faded when compared to the standard version. As each burst pattern is sprayed by hand, you’ll see there is some great variation in each guitars colour.
The Mahogany neck is topped with a crisp Rosewood fingerboard with classic Gibson Trapezoid inlays, this guitar looks every bit the real deal. With a 24.75" scale length and a Vintage 50s profile, it retains that classic Les Paul feel. The ABR1 Tune-0-Matic bridge and light weight tailpiece offer an authentic vintage vibe.
Classic Gibson tones come courtesy of a pair of Burstbucker 1&2 humbuckers. With a really unique sonic character it is versatile, dynamic and offers crystal clear note definition. The defining feature of these Double Trouble Les Pauls is the inclusion of double white bobbin pickups, which gives this guitar a really unique visual appeal. Equipped with Alnico II magnets and orange drop capacitors, this is true vintage tonality!
