Fulltone Standard Line '69 MkII | Fuzz
With Two Matched Germanium Transistors
This is the smaller box version of the classic Fulltone '69 pedal. It contains two of Michael Fuller's favourite Fat-Body germanium transistors, the same exact ones used in his favourite era of ’69 pedal, 1994 through 1997.
This Germanium Transistor equipped Fuzz is identical to early Arbiter Fuzz Faces, but allows for a few key adjustments to things like the Input level, the Mids, and even the Transistor Bias. One of the desirable traits of Germanium Transistors (when matched properly) is their valve-like responsiveness and thick, even harmonics. The other is that they clean up incredibly by turning down the guitar's volume knob! Leave the Fuzz all the way up and use your guitar's knob to get everything you need.
If you love the first two Hendrix releases then you'll love this pedal, with two germanium transistors hand-picked and tested for optimum performance. A Contour knob lets you dial in Midrange, Harmonics and Sustain, also an Input bias knob that takes out the woof and gives great overdrive and distortion sounds when its level is reduced. An Internal Trimmer allows for adjustment of Clipping Symmetry, Harmonics, and Tracking.
