Fender Custom Shop Private Collection H.A.R. Strat
Dennis Galuszka Masterbuilt
The Fender Custom Shop Produce some of the finest guitars on the planet, This H.A.R Strat is a super rare and sort after guitar.
Back in 1955, Texas guitar player Howard Reed Jr. placed an order for a Stratocaster, he had a special request though, it had to be black instead of the standard 2-Tone Sunburst. This might not sound like a big deal but he inadvertently made history, resulting in one of the earliest known Black Strats and kicking off the custom colour tradition that still continues today. This black Strat became the stuff of legend, being Reed's guitar of choice during his time with famous rockabilly group Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps. Masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka was tasked with the job of recreating this iconic guitar, and he has certainly delivered, the Fender Custom Shop Private Collection H.A.R. Stratocaster is something pretty special!
With a 1-piece Ash body finished in Black, this guitar is really nicely balanced and has a really good weight to it. The nitro lacquer has been really authentically aged and this ageing will only continue to develop as time goes on. Dennis Galuszka has done an incredible job of replicating the wear patterns from years of use and playing, this is a job only a Masterbuilder could do justice!
The Flat Sawn Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 7.25" radius, 21 frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. The 1954 U profile is really substantial but super comfortable, a great feel for this vintage inspired guitar.
The Custom Shop hand wound '55 single coil Strat pickups deliver that classic Stratocaster tone, super responsive and with unbelievable clarity, the H.A.R Strat is the real deal.
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, this is your chance to own a little piece of guitar history!
