Levi Perry is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.
The Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Levi Perry '52 Tele is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
The traditional Ash body is finished in a classic White Blonde nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The medium tint Plain Grain Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius, '52 Style "U" shape neck measuring .860" at 1st fret and .920" at 12th fret, 21 6105 frets, 1.650" nut width and a 25.5" scale length, it's a real joy to play.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With an Original Blackguard bridge pickup and a Twisted Tele neck pickup it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
