Description

This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '64 Telecaster Relic in Aged Sage Green Metallic captures the soul of a classic mid-'60s Telecaster, with meticulous craftsmanship, vintage appeal, and modern refinements. Fender Custom Shop has drawn on elements from throughout Telecaster history to create an instrument that embodies timeless design and performance excellence, making it perfect for both players and collectors alike.

Hand-Picked Tonewoods and Unique Construction

Starting with a hand-selected two-piece alder body, this Telecaster is lightweight and resonant, giving each note a rich, ringing quality. The Fender Custom Shop complements this with a quartersawn maple neck shaped in an oval '60s "C" profile. This neck profile, known for its comfortable yet slightly chunky feel, fills the hand just enough without being overbearing, making it an excellent choice for both rhythm and lead work. Adding to the vintage aesthetic, the neck is topped with an AAA "sorted for darkness" rosewood fingerboard, which boasts a stunningly rich, dark appearance and provides a smooth, comfortable playing surface with its 9.5-inch radius and narrow tall frets.

Loaded '51 Nocaster Pickups with Greasebucket Tone Circuit

At the heart of the Limited Edition '64 Telecaster Relic's sound is a set of Hand-wound Loaded '51 Nocaster pickups. These pickups are carefully designed to replicate the signature tonal characteristics of early-'50s Teles, providing a mix of tight low end, clear mids, and twangy highs that are synonymous with a classic Telecaster. These hand-wound pickups ensure excellent response and articulation, capturing every nuance of your playing. Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit further enhances versatility by allowing you to roll off treble frequencies without muddying the tone, giving players clear, defined sound even when dialling down the tone knob.

Precision and Playability with the '58-'63 Tele Bridge and Modern Radius

The Limited Edition '64 Telecaster features a custom '58-'63 Tele bridge with compensated brass saddles, which greatly enhances intonation accuracy and sustain compared to traditional three-barrel bridges. The bridge works seamlessly with the 9.5-inch radius fingerboard, narrow tall frets, and the oval "C" profile, offering effortless playability across the neck. Fender Custom Shop has skilfully balanced modern appointments with vintage-inspired design, allowing players to enjoy smooth bends, clear chord voicings, and a stable feel across the board.

Relic Finish and Custom Colour Aesthetic

This model's nitrocellulose relic finish is expertly applied to mimic decades of play, giving the guitar a played-in feel that vintage enthusiasts crave. Every detail has been considered, from the wear marks on the alder body to the lack of finish on the back of the neck. As a striking mid-'60s custom-colour Telecaster, this model features a matching headstock painted in Aged Sage Green Metallic, enhancing its distinctiveness and classic allure. The finish and hardware create a unique, vintage-inspired appearance, evoking the spirit of a well-worn, well-loved guitar.

The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '64 Telecaster Relic in Aged Sage Green Metallic is more than just a tribute to the greatest Teles of the past - it-s an embodiment of Fender's legacy in a playable work of art that remains faithful to its roots while incorporating thoughtful upgrades. Whether on stage, in the studio, or displayed as a collector's piece, this guitar offers a blend of aesthetics, tone, and playability that represents the pinnacle of Telecaster design.
