The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '55 Hardtail Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The sort for lightweight Ash body is finished in a classic Tobacco Sunburst nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The Plain Grain Maple neck has a smooth finish and feels great underhand! With a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius, 21 medium vintage frets, the '55 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a 10/56 "V" neck shape which measures .880 at the 1st fret and .980 at the 12th fret. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of handwound Fender Tomatillo pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. With the Vintage Hardtail bridge, you get rock solid tuning stability and the ability to effortlessly drop tune on the go.
