The Fender Custom Shop '52 Telecaster pays homage to Leo Fender’s early vision with a classic Ash body finished in Nocaster Blonde nitro lacquer, designed to age beautifully while enhancing resonance and sustain. Its plain grain Maple neck offers a smooth vintage feel, featuring a 9.50" radius, 21 6105 frets, and a '52 Style "U" profile for comfortable playability. Equipped with a hand-wound 50-51 Blackguard neck pickup and an Original Blackguard bridge pickup, it delivers the iconic Tele twang with balance and versatility. While original '52 Telecasters are collector’s treasures, this Custom Shop '52 is built to be played.

The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
The Ash body is finished in a classic Nocaster Blonde nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1952 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius, 21 6105 frets, 1.650" Nut Width and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. The 52 Style "U" neck profile measures .860" at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand wound 50-51 Blackguard neck pickup and Original Blackguard bridge pickup, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
