Made in Corona, California, the American Performer series delivers exceptional tone and feel you expect from an authentic Fender.
You get a classic Strat build here with an Alder body and bolt-on Maple neck but with great playability; thanks to the "Modern C" neck profile and Satin Urethane finish, you can effortlessly traverse your way around the 9.5" radius fretboard. With the 25.5" scale length, your fingers have a lot more room to play with, even at the high end of the 22 Jumbo frets.
Featuring Yosemite pickups handcrafted in California, these Single-Coils are specially voiced for each guitar and position to deliver those classic unmistakable Strat tones. In bridge position is the Double Tap Humbucker which gives players access to fatter, higher output tones with more sustain - perfect for rock and blues. But don't worry about giving up your single-coil bridge tones thanks to the push/pull coil split that also stops volume loss when switching. Also included at players' disposal is the Fender Greasebucket system that lets you cut the treble without losing gain or clarity.
Finally, the hardware: the American Performer Strat is backed up with Fender's new ClassicGear 18:1 ratio machine heads to allow precise fine-tuning and the Vintage-Style Tremolo, sporting 6 Saddles for the independent string intonation, adds shimmering vibrato and flutters to your toolkit.
This really takes a classic Strat and infuses the best of modern features for enhanced playability and tone without losing out on that authentic vintage feel that only a Strat can supply.
