On a normal spring day back in April 1954 a very special instrument was crafted for the very first time across the pond in Fullerton, California. Although unknown to everyone at the time, this instrument would go on to have a profound on music, popular culture and the world as we know it today. We are of course talking about the talking about the legendary, Fender Stratocaster! To mark this incredible instruments 70th anniversary our friends at Fender have crafted a 70th Anniversary collection designed to pay tribute to the very guitar that started it all.

The Fender 70th Player offers the classic Stratocaster experience at a price that wont bust the bank! With modern features that todays players crave this may just be the best value for money Stratocaster on the market.

The traditional Alder body is typically well balanced and comfortable, as all Strat's are, and with a crisp 2-Tone Sunburst finish it looks real slick. Its super resonant and delivers a bell like high end, punchy mids and robust lows with flawless precision.

The Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. With a C shape profile and 22 medium jumbo frets, it offers a really comfortable playing experience; its equally at home playing big chords or intricate lead work. The Maple fingerboard looks and feels great underhand and really plays into the modern take on a timeless classic vibe.

A trio of Player Series Alnico 5 single coils provide classic Strat spank. Offering a touch more bite than traditional Strat pickups, the Player Series are crisp and articulate.

The updated 2-point tremolo design has smoother travel for enhanced playing feel while simultaneously giving you rock-solid tuning stability since theres less friction against the posts.

Other features include master volume and tone controls, a 5-way pickup switch, 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines and four-bolt F- stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as the real deal - as Fender as it gets.
