The Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HSH 2PT CM Mahogany is a high-performance electric guitar designed with precision, comfort, and tonal versatility in mind. Its contoured mahogany Dinky body enhances playing comfort, especially during long sessions, while the scalloped lower back and shredder’s cut heel allow for easy access to the upper frets. This thoughtful design enables effortless playability across the entire fretboard, particularly for lead work and solos.
The bolt-on neck is crafted from caramelised maple, offering enhanced resonance and stability. Reinforced with graphite rods, the neck is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, reducing the need for frequent adjustments. The hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back of the neck ensures a smooth playing experience, reducing friction and allowing for quick position shifts. Additional features like Luminlay side dots provide visibility on dark stages, and the heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel offers convenient neck relief adjustments without the need to remove the neck or pickguard.
The compound radius fingerboard (12"-16") is also made from caramelised maple and features 24 jumbo frets with rolled edges for enhanced comfort. The pearloid dot inlays and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut contribute to tuning stability, improved sustain, and precise intonation. These elements are specifically chosen to meet the demands of modern guitarists who value speed, accuracy, and reliability.
For tonal flexibility, the DK24 is equipped with a custom Seymour Duncan HSH pickup configuration. The Full Shred TB-10 bridge humbucker delivers bright, articulate tones with tight low end and pronounced attack, ideal for heavy rhythm and lead work. The Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 middle single-coil offers a clear and dynamic response with increased output, while the Alnico II Pro APH-1N neck humbucker provides warm, expressive tones with excellent sustain. Combined with a five-way blade switch and no-load tone control, players can achieve a wide range of sonic textures.
Additional high-end components include a Gotoh Custom 510 two-point tremolo bridge for smooth pitch modulation and tuning stability, Charvel-branded locking tuners for quick and secure string changes, and a low-friction 500K EVH Bourns potentiometer for effortless volume swells.
