BOSS IR-2 Amp & Cabinet

Higher gain options include a BOSS original with smooth gain, the Soldano SLO-100, a high-gain BOSS original derived from the Katana series, a BOSS original with extreme gain, and the MESA/Boogie Dual Rectifier.

Each of these amplifier emulations is paired with high-quality cabinet impulse responses (IRs) from Celestion Digital. The specific Celestion IRs are carefully chosen to complement each amplifier type, ensuring a polished and authentic sound right out of the box. For example, the CLEAN amp is paired with a 1x12" Celestion V-Type, the TWN with a 2x12" Celestion A-Type, and the BRIT with a 4x12" Celestion G12M-Heritage.

The IR-2 boasts exceptional audio quality, utilising 32-bit floating-point processing and a 96 kHz sampling rate. This advanced digital signal processing ensures that the nuances and dynamic response of real amplifiers and cabinets are faithfully reproduced.

The user interface of the IR-2 is designed for simplicity and ease of use. It features standard Level, Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, allowing guitarists to quickly dial in their desired sound. A dedicated Ambience knob provides control over a built-in ambience effect, adding natural spaciousness to the tone.

For integration with other effects pedals, the IR-2 includes a mono input and stereo outputs. It also features a mono/stereo loop, allowing users to patch in modulation, delay, and reverb effects after the amplifier emulation. The TRS return jack supports stereo operation, enabling stereo effects to be passed through to the IR-2's outputs.
