The Ampeg Venture VB-410 bass cabinet is designed for bass players requiring substantial power output in a portable format. This front-ported cabinet delivers 600 watts RMS and 1200 watts program power at 8 ohms, making it suitable for medium to large venues and performance settings. A key feature of this cabinet is its lightweight construction, weighing only 42 pounds (19kg), which facilitates easier transportation and setup. This reduced weight is achieved through the use of custom-voiced 10-inch Lavoce neodymium woofers.
The cabinet is equipped with four of these custom-voiced Lavoce neodymium woofers, which contribute to its efficient power handling and tonal clarity. Additionally, it includes a variable high-frequency driver, allowing users to adjust the treble response to match their playing style and sonic preferences. The high-frequency attenuator provides precise control over the driver's output, enabling fine-tuning of the overall sound.
Construction quality is a significant aspect of the VB-410. It is built with a rugged design, ensuring durability during transport and performance. The exterior is covered in a carbon fibre-style Tolex, which provides a protective layer and a modern aesthetic. The cabinet also features the modern Ampeg logo, aligning with the brand's contemporary design direction.
The VB-410 offers versatility in configuration. It can be used as a standalone cabinet for medium-sized venues or combined with other cabinets from the Venture series, such as the VB-210 or VB-115, for larger setups. This flexibility allows bass players to scale their rig according to the venue size and performance requirements. To enhance protection during transport and storage, an optional Venture padded cover is available. This cover helps to shield the cabinet from potential damage, extending its lifespan and maintaining its appearance.
