One of the most iconic and well respected production runs of recent times was the Fender American Vintage series, true representations of the classic guitars of the ‘50s and ‘60s. These player focused powerhouses earned high praise for their authentic vintage approach, flawless playability and immaculate recreation of golden era tones.

Despite being discontinued a number of years back, the American Vintage Reissue series has a real cult following, with many feeling that these guitars were the closest thing to a Fender Custom Shop without the Custom Shop prices.

Well, now in 2022, Fender have reissued the ultimate reissues! The Fender American Vintage Reissue II range is now here and it’s arguably better than ever!

Featuring the very best from the ‘50s, ‘60s and now ‘70s, the AVRI range boasts Stratocasters, Telecasters, Jazzmasters and Fender basses. Featuring nitrocellulose lacquer, period correct pickups and neck profiles, vintage style hardware and more, Fender’s American Vintage II guitars are a testament to the lasting influence and design of the legendary Leo Fender.

Aside from the classic ‘50s and ‘60s Strats and Teles, this series sees Fender embrace some of the highlights from the 1970s. The AVRI-II ‘73 Stratocaster is a particular gem. 7.25” radius, Vintage tall frets and available in Lake Placid Blue, Mocha and Aged Natural, this Strat boasts the unmistakable large ‘70s headstock. If telecasters are more your thing, the ‘72 Thinline, ‘77 Custom and ‘75 Deluxe offer just the right amount of ‘70s mojo but with a little extra grit thanks to the Pure Vintage Wide Range CuNiFe humbuckers.
