One real standout artist is of course Adam Christianson. Known as one of the highly influential guitarists of critically acclaimed Metal band “Architects”. His riff work and virtuosos lead lines have changed the way we perceive modern guitar playing. When you’re in band and like Architects you certainly need an instrument that’s up to the challenge. 

Introducing…The Mayones Adam Christianson Aquila Cardinal. Based around the Mayones Aquila body shape, the beauty is in the simplicity of the design. The no-nonsense, no-frills approach strips this model right back to basics. Adam himself revealed “I’ve always been a big fan of very simple guitars & minimalist approach. I feel like they just give you more than you put in”. 

The Cardinal begins with an American Ash body, which has been exposed to Mayones’s Tonally Enhanced Wood program, helping add resonance, stability, and clarity, all of which are essential in a band like Architects. Stained in an awesome Antique Black the Cardinal looks mean and menacing! Paired up with a graphite reinforced Tonally Enhanced Maple neck it offers great stability, perfect no matter the tuning or string gauge. The custom D-Shape neck is comfortable and fills your hand perfectly, whether its chugging riffs or slick lead lines you’re sure to feel right at home. Atop the Maple neck sits a rich Ebony fingerboard with a rounder 12” radius, 24 extra jumbo stainless-steel frets and a 43.5mm nut width. Awesome right?

The crowning jewel of this incredible design is the Mayones exclusive TKO pickup set by Bare Knuckle. Thanks to the ceramic bridge pickup you get the aggression and power associated with active design but with the clarity and dynamic response connected to passive design, it really is the best of both worlds. Partnered up with a fat sounding Alnico V neck humbucker there’s no excuse for thin sounding leads! This set has a brilliant natural compression which just squeezes out every last drop of tonal goodness!
