Fender EOB Stratocaster | Maple - Olympic White
Radiohead are seen as the marker for all alternative rock weirdness, their crazy chord progressions, use of effects and unorthodox approach to song writing being the basis for a back catalogue of incredible albums.
As part of the bands trident of guitarists, Ed O'Brien often gets overlooked in favour of the more flamboyant Johnny Greenwood and Frontman Thom Yorke, in reality though he is the most inventive and out of the box musician in the band.

With the traditional Strat Alder body, it is for the most part a typical Mexican made Strat, the real magic comes via the pickups and electronics. With a Texas Special in the middle, the EOB Strat rocks a Duncan JB Jnr at the bridge, this humbucker in a single coil enclosure offers some real bite and low end definition. The highlight is the Fernandes Sustainer driver at the neck, this allows for near infinite single or multi string sustain, a great tool when creating the kind of warped soundscapes that Radiohead are known for. In addition, this Strat features a harmonic blend switch and an on/off switch for the sustainer.
The Maple neck and fingerboard boast a V shape profile, 21 Narrow Tall frets and a 9.5" radius. It's comfortable and smooth. The neck plate features a special Flower of Life design, similar to Ed's own tattoo, it's a nice touch and the only real mark of this being a signature model guitar.
This model unfortunately was delivered with a small scuff on the bottom edge, (see pictures for details) and is available at a slightly discounted price as a result.
