The Gretsch G5420TG-59 Electromatic is one of those incredible guitars that seamlessly manages to honour its rich heritage whilst pushing forward with modern tech and functionality. Designed to offer traditional Gretsch style and playability, it's bold, dynamic and super responsive. Limited to just 250 guitars across Europe, this Gretsch closely resembles the famous Chet Atkins '59 hollowbody, a true classic!
The Laminate Maple body is finished in the lush Vintage Orange, and with crisp mismatched Silver and Gold hardware, it looks every bit the classic Gretsch. The Maple neck has a rich Rosewood fingerboard and sports the Pearloid Thumbnail inlays. With the standard U shape profile and a 12" radius, it's comfortable and really well balanced.
The Blacktop Filter'Tron humbuckers have incredible response and definition. They have a great dynamic range and really respond to the way you play, slick and subtle one second and roaring the next. The master volume treble bleed circuit ensures you don't lose that classic Gretsch spank when you roll down the volume.
A Bigsby B60 vibrato unit offers great stability and is perfect for all those country, jazz and blues licks. Offering great sustain and incredible tuning stability, the G5420TG-59 is a really impressive, players guitar.
