The Alder body is finished in a delicious Aged Vintage White. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The ageing on display here is some of the most authentic around, it's a real testament to the skill of the Fender Custom Shop builders.
The Quartersawn Roasted Maple neck has a super smooth finish and an AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 12" radius and jumbo frets with rolled edges, the '60 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '60 Style C neck shape. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
The defining feature is the signature Ancho Poblano singlecoil pickups, getting progressively hotter from neck to bridge, they are uniquely calibrated and offer a distinct tonal flavour. Overwound by hand they are the holy grail of single coils.
