Cordoba Espana 45CO | Natural
Solid Cedar Top, Cocobolo Back & Sides
The 45CO is part of Cordoba's Espana range of guitars. These are models that are made in Spain and feature some stunning designs which are all exclusive to this particular series. This guitar looks particularly gorgeous but the distinctive and striking cocobolo rosewood is not just eye-candy at the expense of tone; instead it serves beautifully to tick both boxes.

The top on this beautiful classical guitar is a classic choice - solid cedar and fan-braced. This style of bracing (pioneered on classical guitars by Antonio de Torres Jurado) gives a far superior bass response and dynamics when compared to a ladder-braced classical. The neck is also made of cedar and is joined to the body using the Spanish heel method - another Torres invention. This is a more time-consuming method of construction where the guitar is built around the beck as opposed to simply being added on. This gives a strong and sturdy construction and makes the body and neck one cohesive piece which clearly has a positive effect on the resonance of the instrument.
The fingerboard on this guitar is ebony whilst the headplate, bridge and binding are all rosewood. The rosette is hand-inlaid in a Spanish style. An amazing feat that is often overlooked. More modern features include a dual-action truss rod, so that the playability can be adjusted over time and a humidified hardshell case.
As a cocobolo guitar varies so much in appearance from piece to piece, buying from Peach means you can see the exact guitar you are getting thanks to our in-house studio photography.
