Gibson Custom present their release of Mark Knopfler 1958 Les Paul. A careful recreation of Mark's own '58, often seen with him in live settings and a must have for Gibson Custom collectors and Knopfler fans alike.
Spec wise this is sporting a 1 piece Mahogany body with a 2 piece Maple top which is double carved, the colour is referred to as 'Knopfler Burst'. The neck is a Mahogany Knopfler profile which we assume is a faithful recreation of the original guitars neck. The fretboard is a 1 piece Indian Rosewood finished with nice hand rolled binding.
Hardware wise these beasts are loaded with Gibsons most excellent Custom Bucker pickups.
Gorgeous to play and behold, this is a superb example of a Les Paul even without the name attached.
